About Me and www.eBEERCANS.com
I have been collecting U.S. beer cans and breweriana since 1979. The hobby has changed significantly over the past 30 years. Probably the biggest change has been the presence of the Interent over the last 10 years. Collectors previously relied on antique shops, flea markets and newspapers to locate old beer cans. Now we rely on words like Google and eBay. With the influx of new collectors and people from outside the hobby has also come the need for some stability and standards. After all if you see a can sell on eBay for $1000 than your similar can must be worth as much too, right? Not neccessarily.
www.eBEERCANS.com (eBC) is the first site of its kind. There are beer can sites for both buying and selling antique beer cans, but few of them offer honest and up to date information. I have worked closely with some of the most knowledgable collectors in the hobby to compile information that is scattered throughout out-of-publish books, club magazines and in the minds of the greatest beer can collectors that the hobby has ever known. Much of the information found on eBC has been used by advanced collectors for many years. Now I am making it available to everyone.
Since 1980 I have traveled across the U.S. attending beer can and breweriana shows. I've been a member of the largest beer can collecting club in the world since 1984, BCCA. My collections have ranged from the most common current cans to the rarest beer cans worth over $5000 each. I currently specialize in all NYC beer cans and breweriana while also having one of the largest vintage U.S. beer label stocks in the entire world. I started www.usbeerlabels.com in 2004 and now www.eBEERCANS.com in 2007.
I will continue to add to eBC until it has become the complete beer can reference guide.
