Remarks: "Ballantine's XXX Ale. Circa: 1936 - 1937. This American Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists Patents Pending and was Packed at the Brewery by P. Ballantine and Sons of Newark, New Jersey; with New York Distributor for P. Ballantine and Sons at 517 West 16th Street New York City. This is a similar package design as seen on the previous page (USBC-OI 63) with, however; the added gold band with the text "c 1935 Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.", printed above the "XXX" on the face panel. Note also, the trademark, with "Trade Mark Am. Can Co.", printed within, near the bottom of the right side panel.
