Remarks: "ACME Englishtown Ale. Circa: Early 1936. This Pacific Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists no patent information and was filled by ACME Breweries of San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. Notice the use of the trademark term "Keglet", which is unique to the ACME brand. This short lived container, with the silver-gray enamel background, was the first package design used by the brewer for their ale packaging. Note also, the "A" in "ACME", is printed in red throughout the label design. This package design was soon replaced with a more eye catching color scheme, as seen on the following page (USBC-OI 8). This Grade 1 example is the best of only two quality examples known to the author, along with several lesser condition examples existing also. Rarity Rating: R-9/R-6."
